JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing a courteous and warm welcome at the entrance to all guests. Ensures efficient service and maximises revenue through good booking management, and provides fast, professional and friendly service to every guest.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• ◆Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with genuine eye contact, escort them to their dining area, present menus and announce the waiter's name
• ◆Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant whenever possible
• ◆Inform guests of current promotions and offer recommendations when needed
• ◆Handle incoming calls with proper telephone etiquette at all times
• ◆Manage reservations and coordinate with the waiting staff on special guest information and requests, such as allergies and special occasions
• ◆Accommodate special seating preferences whenever possible and balance the flow of guests between service stations
• ◆When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and party size and give an estimated waiting time
• ◆Stay attentive to guests' needs throughout their dining experience
• ◆Pass messages to servers and bus persons as needed, and assist the waiting staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water and serving beverages
• ◆Know all outlet menus in order to offer recommendations through suggestive selling
• ◆Keep the reception area clean and the guest data and reservation book up to date
• ◆Perform other duties that may be assigned by your immediate supervisors
• ◆Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences or hazards, however minor, to your supervisor or Head of Department
