WAITER/WAITRESS

JOB SUMMARY

Will be responsible for providing courteous and efficient service of food and beverage to guests at all times. Provide fast, professional and friendly service to all guests and maintain a healthy work environment, with cooperation with fellow colleagues from your team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• ◆Check and prepare the mis-en-place for all service stations
• ◆Pick up orders of food and beverage from the service points in the kitchen and bar
• ◆Know all the menus offered in all outlets in order to make recommendations
• ◆Ensure a high standard of sanitation and hygiene in the restaurant and its premises
• ◆Attend training sessions, whether within or outside of the normal schedule, as required
• ◆Ensure that the operating equipment and general supplies for the restaurant are maintained
• ◆Clear, collect and return food and beverage items to the proper area
• ◆Ensure service stations are properly staffed and equipped, including glassware, cutlery, chinaware, ice, linen, menus, decorations and condiments
• ◆Ensure that all guests are welcomed, seated and thanked on departure
• ◆Record transactions and orders in the point of sale system at the time of order
• ◆Observe hygiene and safety rules within the premises and make careful use of safety equipment
• ◆Uphold the highest quality standards of operation in accordance with service procedures
• ◆Offer recommendations and promote upselling, take orders from guests and follow up on every detail
• ◆Check guest satisfaction at all times and relay any problem to the Captain or Outlet In Charge
• ◆Carry out any other reasonable task requested by your supervisor, department head or management
• ◆Take reasonable care when storing, handling and using chemicals and dangerous substances, and when lifting, carrying or cleaning equipment
